Listeners
On behalf of all at Somer Valley FM could I thank those people and organisations without which we would not have been able to deliver our community radio broadcast last week.
Thanks go locally to the Radstock Cooperative Society, our most generous local supporter, to the Ralph & Irma Sperring Charity, Bath & North East Somerset Council, Midsomer Norton & Radstock Chamber of Commerce, NRR, and the former Link Group. We were also supported by the Community Fund through Awards for All and the Learning & Skills Council. A special thank you goes to Somervale School for their support in hosting the station and the Journal for printing our schedules and frequency. A full list of other contributors can be found on our web site.
I would like to thank all the people who participated in the project. I believe that we have delivered a community radio station, from scratch, that was actually quite good and I suspect better than most people were expecting. We had some excellent programming that reflected the time and effort put into script development and production by the presenters and the support team. We had far more community contact via phone, email and text action than we were expecting and even managed a couple of news exclusives. Equally important, we all had a lot of fun.
Lastly we would like to thank all those of you who tuned in and listened. Based on the number of audience contacts we have had via the website and directly, there were quite a few of you. We have had some excellent feedback from many listeners which of course made it all worth while.
Thank you for listening to Somer Valley Radio on 106.8FM.
Yours aye,
Cllr Chris Watt
Co-Director & License Holder for Somer Valley FM
